Elmwood is in a prime position in a quiet residential Conservation area of Pitlochry. Please don't judge us by Google 'Streetview' images as we had only just moved in when their car came round and the back area of the house has improved since then as you will see from the photograph! The house opposite finished their building work a year ago and now has one of the finest gardens in Pitlochry.
Rest assured there is a lovely open view over to the hills from the front of the house.
The Festival Theatre, Atholl Palace Hotel, Dam and Fish Ladder, Blair Atholl Distillery and golf course are within walking distance from the house. For those wishing to dine in the town, a car would not be necessary.

Directions on arrival
We are situated half way along Lower Oakfield. The back of the house faces the road: look for the trees and our white sign at the gates (not visible from the south until the last minute). Our guests find that reversing into the drive works well, with cars parked alongside the boundary wall.
The photograph on the left shows you the what you are looking for as you approach from the south.
Note: It may be confusing for you if you follow Googlemap, as the Poplar's Hotel is shown incorrectly in our position.
The main route (A9) bypasses the town, there is a mainline station with London sleeper services and there is a regular bus service to Inverness, Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Edinburgh airport is 90 minutes drive, Glasgow is about 2 hours. St Andrews (Open Championship Course) is 1 hour 30 minutes away.
For those arriving by rail or bus, we would be happy to collect you on your arrival.
